Music Recommendations

Thought I might share some recommendations that I’ve been enjoying recently…

Bloc Party: Intimacy – Remixed
A collection of remixes of the tracks contained on “Intimacy”. Some very interesting takes on some already complex and heavily produced songs. Highlights are Halo, Biko, Trojan Horse and Signs.

Funeral For A Friend: Memory and Humanity
These guys have been on constant rotation on my iPod for the last half-decade, and were a heavy influence on some earlier musical projects of mine. Highlights are Maybe I Am?, Building, Beneath The Burning Tree and Charlie Don’t Surf.

Coldplay: LeftRightLeftRightLeft
Coldplay’s free live album as a thank you for fans. It’s great to see big acts going the way of offering free music. Some brilliant moments with soaring singalongs from the crowd. Highlights are Strawberry Swing, The Hardest Part / Postcards From Far Away, Viva La Vida, Fix You and Death And All His Friends.

Boom Pretty: Self-Titled EP
Our good friends and stage-mates Boom Pretty with their fantastic debut EP. Every track is brilliant, make sure you give it a listen.

What are you listening to? You can keep up with everything I’ve got on rotation with my Last.fm profile.
